We founded Martian because we saw how often students focused on obtaining an admission or moving abroad without fully understanding the careers, qualifications, skills, and challenges that might follow. Some students have clear goals; others are still searching for direction. Both deserve advice tailored to their needs.
Our approach starts with listening. We consider a student’s academic background, interests, strengths, ambitions, and circumstances before exploring educational options in India and abroad. When I came to the United Kingdom to pursue my MSc in Finance and Accounting at the University of Westminster, I carried the hopes that bring so many international students to a new country: to learn, grow, build a career, and make the sacrifices behind that journey worthwhile.
But I soon learned that securing a university place and building a career after graduation are two very different challenges. I studied alongside more than 50 students, and I saw talented, hardworking people struggle to find opportunities connected to their qualifications. Only a handful of classmates, from what I observed, moved into roles closely related to their studies.
I was fortunate to enter my chosen profession, but my own journey involved uncertainty, persistence, and a great deal of learning. That experience stayed with me. I began to think about how much difference earlier, more practical career guidance might make.

- •What if a commerce graduate could explore specialised career pathways rather than choosing a general Master’s programme simply because it was available?
- •What if a nursing graduate understood further study, professional registration requirements, and career development options before selecting a course?
- •What if a student who could not secure an MBBS seat through NEET could explore other suitable medical or healthcare pathways, including international options where eligibility and recognition requirements are met?
- •What if a student who did not secure an engineering seat after JEE could explore alternative routes into Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or emerging technologies in India or abroad?
- •What if students started building communication skills, practical experience, and professional networks long before graduation?
These questions became the foundation of Martian. I wanted to create a place where students could have honest conversations about their future — not just about offers, fees, and applications.
Not every student needs the same course, university, or number of counselling sessions. Some know exactly what they want; others need time to discover it. My goal is to make room for both, without making unrealistic promises about admissions, employment, or immigration outcomes.
